Barbados Sunset catamaran cruise from £80
Take a sunset cruise in a catamaran off the coast of Barbados. Go snorkeling among sea turtles and shipwrecks, then enjoy canapes and an open bar aboard the boat.
Start your tour with a pickup from the cruise terminal or your hotel on the south or west coast. Board your catamaran and set sail off the west coast of Barbados.
Stop at your first snorkeling location for a close encounter with some of the island's sea turtles. At the next stop, drift over historical shipwrecks teeming with colorful tropical fish. After your snorkeling stops, relax aboard the boat and enjoy the scenery. Have a canape or a drink from the open bar.
On the way back, admire the change of scenery as dusk approaches. Watch the sunset from the ocean as you sail back to Bridgetown.
Jamaica rafting on the Great River from £104
For the ultimate relaxation, go rafting on the Great River in Lethe. Lethe (pronounced Lee-tie by the locals) is nestled in the hills along the banks of the Great River which borders the parishes of Hanover and St. James. Lethe, a former sugar/banana plantation estate now offers river excursions by experienced raft captains. Enjoy the picturesque scenery while rafting on 30ft long bamboo rafts. The rafts take you along the Great River and under the historic bridge at Lethe, built by slave labor over 200 years ago in 1820. Take a dip in the in the river at suitable locations and enjoy the cool waters as you go up and down the river. Purchase jerk chicken and beverages among other things from raft “shops”. These floating shops along the river are provided by ingenious Jamaicans. Get up and dance to the rhythm of the music blaring from the raft “shops”. Enjoy the foot and leg scrubs provided by the raft captains, using limestone found along the river bank. The captains are patient, informative, friendly and polite adding to your overall rafting experience.
Spend a full day learning about Grenada’s history and culture and meeting its friendly people. Experience the island’s natural beauty, food, and tempting products. The most important and interesting cultural and historical sites have been included on the itinerary. You’ll be picked up at your hotel or guest house in the morning and returned to the same location at the end of the day. Your journey will begin with the capital of Kingstown, where you will be shown around and given information about some of the city's most interesting historical buildings. Travel on to Fort Charlotte, which is a British-colonial-era fort built on a hill overlooking the harbor of Kingstown, Saint Vincent. It is located in the parish of Saint Andrew, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines. The fort enjoys a panoramic view of the Leeward side of the island, including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia, and Mustique. Drive through the two fishing villages of Layou and Barrouallie, where you will be making quick stops for photos. Your next stop will be Wallilabou Bay, where the opening scenes of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl" were filmed.
Just a stone's throw away is Wallilabou Falls, which will be your next stop. It sits on the Wallilabou River on the Leeward coast of St. Vincent, near Wallilabou Bay. Large Samaan trees cover the pool and its adjacent areas, creating a relatively cool micro-climate for the core area of the park. These and other plants create a habitat for several species of birds, and large boulders reflect the land's geological history and create interesting landscapes. After a fun time on the pirates' tour make the journey back to Buccament Beach where you will have 1 hour to swim or snorkel.
