Fare classes within the same cabin 

When you get a search result you will see under the Airline information the class that 

has been selected for the journey that is available (see below).

You can see that the outbound class differs from the inbound class, which suggests the fare has

been calculated by a mixture of the two classes.  This indicates that there may have been a cheaper 

fare but the availability on that day has run out, so the next higher fare (class) is returned.

Here is a list of the classes in price order from low to high

British Airways

O, Q, N, S, V, L, M, K, H, B, Y

Virgin Atlantic

O, N, X, Q, E, M, U, L, R, B, Y

Please be aware that this is just a guide but we hope it helps. 

Sometimes there may never have been availability in the lower classes.

Christmas peak will often only be populated with the highest classes.
